Win a unique opportunity to photograph London Fashion Weekend
11th September 2012
Thanks to our friends at Calumet and Canon we have a unique photography opportunity to give away this week.
One lucky winner will be invited to London Fashion Weekend (on 21 September) to photograph the catwalk, the buzz and the celebs. And you'll be doing it on some of Canon's top cameras and lenses.
Canon will let you dip into their vast armoury of products at the show to help you get the best shot you can. And one of Calumet's staff will be at hand too, to help you make the most of your runway experience.
How to enter
To enter is easy - each week we team up with Calumet for their Photo of the Week challenge. And this week - to tie-in with the prize - we are introducing a touch of style.
So, we want to see your "Street" shots. It could be in the city or the countryside; it could be its characters or someone you know. We're looking for great images that capture the essence of 'street style'.
Highstreet fashion, if you will. We want to see the people and the places - stylish or otherwise.
Don't worry if you don't know your 'applique' from your 'epaulette' - this is an amazing prize for any aspiring photographer.
There will be two prize winners, as the usual place in the Calumet Photo of the Week Hall of Fame will also be reserved - as well as a print of the winning shot for those that can't attend the show.
Enter in the same way as usual by submitting your photos to the Calumet Group. Once you have joined the Group, just upload your new Blip as normal. Then you will be offered a choice of the groups you wish to add the entry to. Just click the relevant box. Easy.
You can add existing Blips to the Calumet Group by using the "Group Settings" icon.
(Travel is not included.)
Calumet Photo of the Week - Monday 10 September 2012
Photographers are always looking for a different view of the world, and last week's Photo of the Week "Close-Up" challenge was one that certainly allowed you to do this.
As ever, we received hundreds of entries, but it was this close up of a fly drinking a droplet of water by ausmossie that was the eventual winner. A print of his winning shot will be "winging" its way to him now and the picture will be added to Calumet's POTW Hall of Fame.
