About the daily vernacular

I'm a photographer specialising in the expressive faces and dramatic contrasts of the post industrial north east of England. Some of my current projects include: documentary and landscape (a coastal coal mining village), lying down outdoors in public places (an occasional series), and experiments with a panoramic aspect.

Currently looking for a way of showing the 'vernacular' in daily life: how what might seem humdrum and familiar, can also be exotic when it's unfamiliar. I'm not sure how this will proceed: it's an experiment, but one that could work rather well on the crisply designed pages at blipfoto; we shall see!
