Friday 7 October 2011: Only in Edinburgh

The tram works are back.

This is the council that claims to want to encourage cycling (and walking) and yet in various places around the west end there are all sorts of diversions and coned off areas where cyclists trying to get where they want, surrounded by frustrated motorists, are in more danger than 'normal'.

Then there is the business of signposting the diversions.

Inept doesn't really cover it.

Though this is an extreme example of nonsense.
