Piece Of Piece Hall

Part of the newly restored south entrance gates to Halifax Piece Hall - originally made in 1871.

In years gone by hand loom weavers used to bring their pieces of cloth here to sell them.

The gates depict - the Halifax Coat of Arms - Flag of St George - John the Baptist - and - of course - a sheep.

This morning passed uneventfully - nobody played an April Fool trick on me - and neither did I on anybody else.

Must try harder next year
