I live in a small community by the coast in the North West Highlands. I have a croft - with three hens and two sheep and I work for the local community development company.

Those of us that are lucky enough to live here love it but there's a falling school roll, more and more houses become holiday houses and local services are under threat. We are working on getting more people living here: we have plans for a community wind turbine to generate an income so we can build community housing, workshop spaces and keep the piers going.

In the meantime I'm trying to keep a photo diary of day to day events - trouble is whenever there is something interesting happening (which, strangely, for a wee place, is often!) I forget to take a picture. You'll just have to imagine it all.
