Wednesday 5 November 2008: Al Capone's
<back blip>
On our first evening in Dhab we headed out to "Al Capone's" restaurant. It sounds a bit cheesy but it's right on the water, does good food and it's cheap (two courses with drinks for two people for £10!). Oh, and it has excellent toilets, which is something you quickly learn to value in Dahab.
We had a good trip out really, but 6 hours on a plane and all the attendant messing about in airports always takes its toll. Fortunately it is possible to get beer in Dahab - a very welcome end to the day.
I always feel bad drinking there though, as I know a lot of the locals are muslim and I don't want to cause offence. On the other hand, it seems silly to be the only guy in the restaurant not drinking...
