Fairweather V

This is the view from the wheelhouse of the Fairweather V, a fishing boat that sank in Loch Broom (near Ullapool) in 1991.

The cold here isn't as bad as I feared. The sun was shining today and the water temperateure is about 7 degress, which is tolerable. The visibility isn't spectacular, but it's the best I've had in the UK in a long time - maybe even more than a year - so I'm enjoying it. Plus of course the company is good (unsurprisingly since it includes sailfish).

The sea was pretty calm so we made it all the way out to Priest Island this afternoon, and then this evening V made us a superb dinner of marinated chicken and sticky ribs with garlic bread and salad. Yummy!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day too!
