Apologies for the long silence but I have been utterly utterly swamped by my first term as a teacher. This weekend however we (all the probationary teacher)were taken away for two days to Hoy where we had a couple of days to get new ideas, refreshed and try to get our morale up and running again. Hoy is a beautiful island and it did the trick. It was a big sea there and back and the skipper of the boat crashed through some mighty waves. Luckily it was a short trip so I didn't have a chance to really start boaking. I taste of salt - staying in the fresh air preserves me from the worst sea sickness. Glad to be home.
