Sunday 25 July 2010: one foot in front of the other
There is something determined here
in a walk
with a lowered gaze
almost as though concentrating
on the act of putting
one foot in front of the other
like concentrating
on breathing in
breathing out
reminding yourself
that you are still alive.

Wonderful photograph. It certainly feels as though his mind is on higher things.

I love the fact that the whole picture has only a single man walking with the rest of the picture almost empty. It really did not need any other object there to complete it.
I love the poem that goes along with it and is a whole story in itself :) Lovely shot
And I cannot fail to notice that this is the same place where you guys shot a couple of days ago :)

i love that a couple of seconds later this scene wil be devoid of the very elements that make it so great - he will have walked out of shot...
you've captured the moment perfectly :-)

Exquisite poetry to accompany this exquisite capture habibti!!!You are a master of tones, his skin tone perfect in a surreal surrounding, which adds so much drama and sensitivity to the composition...It's such a tightly-drawn picture to accentuate your use of high metaphor in the poetry...xxxxxx

Unlike this a lot. I'd love to know what he's thinking.

It is very hard not to add your images to the 'favorites', but I am weak and I did. Quite and lovely intense... engrossment, no thought just walking... lynn

The way this photo is lit seems to match is introspective mood. You have caught everything in such a dimensional way - the mode, the tones, the motion and the quiet all together and how the doors and his dress seem to have been color coordinated. Really incredible. Your photos are poetry in their own then become more so with the written word.

Thanks for your kind and insightful comment :)
I'm going to spend more time looking a yours' and ScorpionKiss' journals. Both fantastic!

Excellent. Beautiful tones. I like how the fellow is leaving the frame - it goes so perfectly with the poetry.
