Tuesday 16 March 2010: Drying Out
We were very fortunate during all the bad weather the past few days. The only bit of damage we had was a soggy gate that came off its hinges and nearly floated away. I was able to bring it to shore before breakfast, and it had all day to dry in the glorious sun.
Sun, sun, more sun, and 62F/17C temps forecast for the rest of the week.
Thanks so much for all the kind thoughts and comments the past few days.

Glory glory halleluja. That's what I was hoping you would tell us today. This is so good, so very good. Cover image material. That the water took the gate off the hinge is a testament to its destructive power.

Clever and funny, I love what you did with this :)
And hurray for sun, sun and more sun!
~ AmErica

I just LOVE this photo. Great shot!!! I look forward to many more.
~ lifecandy
Great shot. We had that glorious weather today, too. We went on a nice hike, a bit muddy - but we did not get nearly as much rain as you did (3-4 inches). I hope your daughter's school will be up and running soon.
~ katgirl

What a great image! You've said it all with the picture but I'm glad you wrote the description too.
~ notabeve
Absolutely brilliant!
That is one of the most creative images I have seen on Blipfoto.
Bravo!

I'm in love with your blip.
A great idea brilliantly executed and one that feels like it may be very important to you in future years.
~ MrSmith

@ adda -- no dark room experience here either...but i do know how to use an inkjet printer and a spray bottle :)
~ distractedhausfrau

Ahhhh....the explanation. I was convinced that you did hours of photoshop work to achieve this. Simplicity is always best. Favorite, favorite, favorite.
Sooo happy that you are experiencing some perfect drying-out weather now.
A back yard clothes line is next on my Taxman's list - right after he finishes the chicken tractor :). Stay tuned...
~ debsthoughts

Hurray!! Glad to hear the sun is out and not much damage was had. This is quite a clever set up and a super capture.
~ bugsman

Great news for you and your family.
This could quite possibly be one of my favorite shots...gorgeous color and of course, black and white.
And yes, I thought it was dark room as well....nice work!!!
~ whitney
What a creative way to convey this information. Good to know the sun is out at last.
~ Gillipaw

This is a great blip, but I wish nothing so interesting was going on for you right now! Even a soggy gate is no good. Hope you continue to be spared the worst of the flooding.
~ anappleaday

You are so clever.... I love this shot.
~ patricespassion
Have to wait about 3 weeks for the carbination to complete. After that it depends on the beer. Some can take months to condition and mellow out. My first batch should be ready straight away.
~ constant

Thank you for all the kind comments and for favouring my picture. It means a lot to me and is much appreciated, as I am trying to build self confidence. Thank You. distracted housewife, mother in Montana.
