Dublin Shooter

In the park

It was quite a nice day today. More accurately, it looked nice looking out at it, but the reality was that there was a bitingly cold wind lurking behind the bright sunshine and clear blue sky. I only discovered the downside when the camera and I headed out in the afternoon, by which stage the sun was quite low in the sky. I spent 45 minutes or so wandering around Fairview Park, a place I'd normally drive by rather than stop in. It isn't looking all that great right now, still suffering from having a fairly large slice ripped up while the Dublin Port Tunnel was being built. Anyway, the cold wind was deterrent enough to prevent me from strolling round more than one corner of it. Despite the cold there were quite a few people pottering around, walking dogs, jogging, cycling through it, amusing their children. This hearty soul didn't seem to feel the cold as much as I did, and was quite content sitting on his bench reading his newspaper. I left him to it, put the camera away and headed back for the car, blowing on my fingers to get some life back into them.
