Wednesday 8 September 2010: A fuzzy photo in a shaky city

Up in the roof space checking on the holes post earthquake.

The chimneys fell over, scattering into individual bricks. Some fell through the roof taking out the old Marseille terracotta tiles and some embedded themselves in the lawn.

The blue tarpaulins let in an interesting light.

I am a very irregular blipper. I should just let myself put them straight on from my phone and not get too hung up on them being a "good" photo.

People around us are getting very tired and a bit snappy. Not enough sleep and the aftershocks drain you.
