So if I told you the story of this image, would it make it more interesting? If you knew that the flower was smaller than my smallest fingernail, if you knew it was the only spot of color in a dark sea of frozen leaves, if you knew that once I'd spotted it I couldn't stay away... If you knew how fast the ice melted, how quickly the drops of water disappeared... If you knew the song I wanted to sing, would you look at the photograph longer, or would you just move on, humming your own gratitude...
