Tuesday 1 March 2011: Barcelona?
I came to Liverpool expecting to find some quality grime. I spent my college years in nearby Manchester so I'm well aware of what can be achieved in these parts.
Sure there were glimpses - I've even got a splendidly inappropriate piece of graffitti that was a very close contender - but the quayside, in the sunshine offered this and I must admit to being mesmerised.
Even better, a friendly local across from New Brighton stopped for a blether and to share in the moment as we stared at the reflections and had a refreshingly positive discussion about new architecture.
Liverpool did look special in the sun today. Even as it went down as seen by my old mucker dogbytes
