Half Owre, Half Owre to Aberdour

give or take...depending how fast you pedal

This sculpture is a mile marker for The National Cycle Network.
It shows: 18m to Edinburgh. 6m to Inverkeithing. 143m to Aberdeen. 9m to Kirkcaldy.
There are 1000 similar sculptures across the country, sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland, but I think this is one of very few that have been painted.

"...Haf owre, haf owre to Aberdour, 'Tis fiftie fadom deip, And thair lies guid Sir Patrick Spens, Wi' the Scots lords at his feit. "
from the classic Scots poem 'Sir Patrick Spens'
