Wednesday 2 March 2011: 10 years to demolish - the reasons why.

Back to Red Road.

Apparently, there will be no impressive explosions for these buildings, instead they will be taken down bit by bit because...

They are the only steel frame high rises in Glasgow and.... they are full of asbestos. Steel isn't known for its crumbling properties and asbestos... well... it's crumbly to excess.

P.S. The big one on the right is the one that featured yesterday.
