Wednesday 2 March 2011: Sunshine again.....

and we have lit the Brick Clamp Kiln, after four months of not burning bricks.
The heat is slowly building up and removing all the water that has built up in the clamp floor and the residual moisture in the "green" bricks. Once the steam stops the heat of the burners is raised and the real burning of the brick can begin. Nineteen days later all 1,000,000 bricks will be burnt, and they will change from a Grey colour to Red.
Then they can be Packed and ready for the customers that are queuing up to buy our bricks, well, hopefully queuing up.

Thanks to all the folks who have given me support yesterday.
