Thursday 3 March 2011: Not in Kansas Anymore!
Today is World Book Day and all over the UK parents were reminded at about 9pm last night that their kid had to go to school dressed as a character from a book.
Lil' was going to be going as Thing 1 from The Cat and the Hat because we knew that we had the whole outfit to hand, including blue wig. But at 7pm last night we tore the house apart looking for said wig. It was nowhere to be found.
Dorothy was a last minute decision, necessitating me butchering a red cape and old pair of school shoes to turn into ruby slippers. I've still got bits of red velvet stick to my fingers as I type this.
She'd better win a book token....
