Thursday 3 March 2011: Redshank in the Rock Pool
A beautiful clear still sunny day so made a quick trip down to the beach at lunchtime to see what I could find. The tide was far out so lots of rock pools exposed and a good selection of birds taking advantage of tasty exposed morsels. Even the birds all seemed more relaxed than usual as there was no wind to buffet them around and everyone was just enjoying the sunshine.
Temperature was 10 degrees and there were even people sitting on the seawall having a picnic lunch.
