Proof of life

Official.

Today the library got the royal seal of approval as Prince Edward came along and unveiled a plaque commemorating, er, his own visit.

I am, at best, skeptical of the value of having member of the royal family cut the ribbon on several years of hard graft, but there is no denying that there was some excitement around the place today and the proceedings went off without major incident and all the invited guests seemed pleased.

It is also a way of getting stuff fixed, painted, removed, decorated and generally tidied up. So, thanks all. Can we get on with our work now?
