Saturday 5 March 2011: Gobstopper
As children we used to see if we could hold our breath while my father drove through the Clyde Tunnel. It takes 57 seconds to drive through if a speed of 30mph is maintained.
The breath-holding game was the subject of Scottish artist Roderick Buchanan's video Gobstopper, where he filmed various childern being driven through the tunnel holding their breath.
This film is part of the exhibition currently on show at the GoMA, Gallery of Modern Art, in Glasgow.
This little boy is willing the end of the tunnel to approach quicker :-)
