Saturday 5 March 2011: Caring
It was a difficult birth. One lamb did not make it and for a while it was touch and go whether the other two would make it as well. In the end it was a good result, two healthy lambs.
The young agriculture students demonstrated great skill, expertise and care of the sheep and lambs in their charge. You could also see the strong bond between the tutors and the students. The tutor quietly explained what needed to be done, then gently coached the students through each step and they shared in the pleasure of a job well done.
