Sunday 6 March 2011: WINTER BEAUTY

Another fabulous winter day in Oslo.

Some plants manage to look stunning even in the cold winter.

This is Tromsø palm (Heracleum tromsoensis). It is 3 meter high, and can be about 50 years old. The juice is toxic and in north they try to get rid of the plant.

In the Botanic garden in Oslo they have isolate it so it should not spread.

Wish you a fun and happy new week!
