Inedible

Not even I, who am generally quite happy to eat things past their sell by date within reason, could do anything with these green beans found hiding under the onions and potatoes in the dark recesses of the fridge other than blip them and chuck them into the waste bin.

They are a tribute to a slummy housewife who thought she could have put them to good use 3 weeks ago, and then promptly forgot about them.
However they make adequate material for a blip and so their existence does have a purpose after all.

And so another day is well into its second sunny half, with little of interest to report.
A little light vacuuming
A little shopping
A little half hearted cleaning of the bike
A little tinkering with the front brake cable
And a little standing about while the television guru tried to work his magic on the remote control pad.

Oh and a cycling holiday booked in Shetland and Orkney in midsummer.
I went to Shetland as a student and loved the whole ethos of island life. But that was before the arrival of the Sullom Voe oil terminal. I hope the place hasn't changed too much since then.
