Monday 7 March 2011: Grandad's Camera
A chance conversation with my Dad led to me finding out he still had his Dad's camera. So a quick chat and it was soon mine (ish). It's a Kodak 6-20 Model B and it's a thing of beauty. I think it's pre-war (would coincide with Dad being born in '38 I guess), takes 620 film and has the coolest controls. All I need now is get some 120 Film, and changing bag, some 620 spools, some fresh soup and I'm away. Hopefully I'll be able to blip with this baby in a couple of weeks.
I think I'll end up getting a bit emotional if I get anything decent out of a camera that my Grandad used, a connection back to him. I just need to get the bloody film into it.
