The Walking bus - west route

The most glorious morning, slight frost but so bright and clear. I picked up my four passengers on the walking bus and we collected another en route. We literally skipped with springs in our steps as it was so delightful! Smallest girl had her sparkly ballet pumps on - not very suitable for a mile hike but it didn't hold her back. This is such a good idea, as already they are much more observant and aware of the beauty around them, and they can all chat for Ireland! Even more exciting, we managed to co-ordinate our timing and arrive with the other bus coming in from the east!

The excitement continued with pancake making. Everyone had brought in eggs and flour and toppings of choice. We had honey, lemons, jams, nutella, fruit salad and cherries -and tahini! The children made their own batter and could select their toppings. Maximum number of pancakes -four!

It's now raining and cold, useful for catching up with other less exciting stuff. Tonight's arthouse is an Italian comedy about a young man who comes out to his strict Mafia type family! You can't say the programme isn't varied! Hope the projectionist gets the film the right way round this week.
