Wednesday 9 March 2011: Two Spires
Springtime is coming to Yosemite Valley, even with snow still on the ground. On our walk this morning we could hear swampsful of frogs playing with the ever-present drone of the waterfalls. The correct name for a group of frogs is an army of frogs, which seems much too frightening for this peaceful setting. I would just say we heard thousands of frogs, and their sound was a prayer spiraling up the valley.
