Wednesday 9 March 2011: Spring?
Awoke this morning to this view of the Pentlands. And we thought it was Springtime !
And although the snow down here melted through the day, it was still very cold standing on the touchline watching, and photographing, some Uni sport down at Peffermill. A bit of women's football followed by men's hockey. Amused that the women footballers shout, 'man on', to their team-mates. I wonder why. Would it sound a bit ridiculous to shout, 'woman on', or is it just for brevity, saving a syllable?
