Thursday 10 March 2011: Well Cat

Charles sitting on the back garden well (have another in the front garden) & behind him is the Dartmoor granite trough - all left over from the working days of what this house was - the village smithy. It was never built as a house, it was converted when the Smithy himself retired back in the early 80s. This house has a lot of history, a lot of features, from huge window arches where the shires used to plod in to be shooed, to the old furnace which is behind me in my study, now blocked off, but the tall chimney outside remains :)

Charlie loves sitting there, he can see so much, even when he's half asleep :)
