Friday 11 March 2011: Backlit Rainbow

I was afraid of the light - or at least unhappy with the light - here, as it was not possible to get a really decent shot of this backlit lorikeet, especially as the cloud cover was making it all white and bright, rather than overcast and dark. Odd how that works sometimes.
I'm uploading this late because of an absolute monster of a thunderstorm last night which led to us turning off every electrical thing we could.
Unrelated: I've just watched a video of a tsunami in Japan. Seriously awful. My thoughts are with Japan and her people.
