Friday 11 March 2011: Bitter Friday
I've just cracked open the Espresso Stout.
Official tasting notes:
"Deep dark red body with a dense, earthy, complex coffee aroma. Dry, bitter coffee taste with a rich roasted malt and some hop in the finish."
Joe's tasting notes:
"Holy crap, I didn't think it was possible to get any bitterer than last week's.
"Remember that shiver when you were eight, and you took a sip of your dad's beer? Remember that bitter taste in your mouth when you tried a cup of strong, black, unsweetened coffee for the first time? Good. Now add them together and multiply them by about a hundred."
I think this one might have beaten my taste buds.
