Sunday 13 March 2011: I know that blipper is close but I can't see her.
The forecast said that brighter weather would quickly come in from the West. Well, it didn't and even more rain made rapid progress towards the coast. We headed off to find a dry place to blip but didn't find one. I spotted the pheasant through a gap in the hedge so I just lowered the car window as quietly as I could and blipped him from there. It was far too damp and muddy to get out - and he would have flown off if I had tried.
