Typical British pub menu:
jacket potato
fish & chips
bangers & mash
burger & chips

Typical Aussie hotel menu:
chicken or beef schnitzel (where is proper pork schnitzel???)
fish & chips
salt & pepper squid
burger & chips

I miss jacket potatoes. But S&P squid is a great gain.
Pictured above - a humble schnitzel. It is as big as you can see, plate-sized. They come with variety of toppings, sauces etc. The one on the left is a so called beef parmi - lots of melted cheese. These where beef, but chicken ones aren't much smaller. I'd like to see those chickens one day.
