Tuesday 15 March 2011: Hot and Cold
About three months ago a letter got sent out to all the parents of the local brownie pack. Do any of the parents do something interesting that they might want to share with or teach the Brownies.
So I volunteered my rather interesting workplace in lieu of not having any particular talent to pass onto the girls themselves. I teach live TV production skills. I am under no illusion that my job is more interesting than a lot of folks'.
So we battled through torrential freezing rain with 16 Brownies and their leaders to a baking hot studio and ironically enough let them be filmed singing and dancing along to Katy Perry's "Hot and Cold". Five of my students came too to show everyone what it is they do.
The girls loved it.
Today I'm exhausted but now I don't have to bake any cakes or show anyone how to do macrame.
