Wednesday 16 March 2011: Black Headed Gull

Gorgeous day here today with lots of sunshine although the wind still has a very sharp nip in it. My lunch time wander round the harbour allowed me to get close to this gull who seemed quite content to sit on the harbour wall catching a few rays. It's amazing what you learn about the things you photograph when you study them on the screen - I never knew that they had matching feet and beaks!

The evenings are getting noticeably lighter and I will soon be able to go on blip walks after my dinner - I hope spring makes a return!
