Monday 14 March 2011: The Decision
It was a testing day
When NZ was hit with an Earthquake, we knew there would be a fine balance between people taking away their much needed tourist dollars vs. tourists arriving too early and using much needed resources
Suddenly we became those tourists with a trip booked to Japan.
Ultimately, we have decided we are too early
and honestly, we are nervous about the nuclear power situation (despite all the science saying it is fine, it still doesn't sit well for a holiday risk)
We have cancelled and will rebook.
The only really disappointing thing,
Air New Zealand who were so good after the NZ quake, demanded £600 for us to change destination
Daylight robbery!
