Friday 18 March 2011: We Remember.
Today was The National Christchurch Memorial Service, held in Hagley Park.
It was a day to remember the lives lost, in the Christchurch earthquake on Tuesday February 22nd, the broken homes, destroyed livelihoods, and profoundly changed lives.
Prince William was a guest of Honour and he read a message from the Queen.
One part I recalled from her speech was - 'Grief is the price we pay for love'
The Governor General spoke - 'Let us not bury our life with death'.
'Love is stronger than death' - from the Anglican Bishop
I watched it all on TV, but there was a crowd of more than 100 thousand who attended.
