Saturday 19 March 2011: Tug Boat

We loved the bright cheery colors of this tug boat against the blue water and sky! Jack couldn't understand why there were tires on the side..... ''because tires belong on the road''.

It's a bit cooler today, yesterday it hit the low 70's, breaking records for high temperatures this time of year. Today it's about 50(f) degrees, but mostly sunny with just some passing clouds.

I'm hoping to have clear skies tonight....we are bringing out the telescope, it's going to be a 'Super Moon' tonight.

A full Moon of rare size and beauty will rise in the east at sunset. It's a super "perigee moon"--the biggest in almost 20 years.

Who knows....maybe I'll wait until after midnight and try to get a good photo for tomorrows blip.
