Albert Memorial in the late winter sunshine

The Albert Memorial was opened in 1872 by Queen Victoria, in memory of the Prince Consort who had died in 1861.

It was designed by SIr George Gilbert Scott and is a pre-eminent example of Gothic Revival style.
