Oh dear...

Today has been beautiful, the sun has been out all day and everything is lovely and warm above freezing :)

So I stayed in bed 'til midday and baked a disaster of a victoria sponge. I know, I know... Complete waste of a day, but lie-ins don't rock up that often. The cake will be salvaged tomorrow. Basically the tins I used were far too small for the recipe and all the guts bubbled out as soon as the self-raising flour got to work. The bits that I rescued from the bottom of the (clean) oven were delicious though, so fingers crossed, with a little plastic surgery, it will look all the yummier tomorrow!
