WRECK AND RELIC

A trip to the parents yesterday and then a little jaunt out to see this old girl. It had been around five years since I last had a look at this Fairy Gannet, T5 variant.

Looking a little worse for wear, this example of the Royal Navy's 1950's Anti-Submarine Warfare aircraft sits at the edge of a farmer's field near Errol. This particular aircraft was formerly based at Lossiemouth still carries its former operator's - 849 Squadron yellow and black markings on the tail.

Braving the Scottish elements takes its toll on us all!!!
