Sunday 20 March 2011: Snake's head fritillary

I love these plants - they are so subtle and strange -looking, and very exotic. I also have white ones but they're not quite as interesting in my opinion.

Laura, last wwoofer, left today. She, and Kelli, worked so well - everything is sown, the soft fruit are is cleared, the brambles are hacked, the reed beds are weeded and the beds are dug! I've been busily catching up with things I should have done during a very hectic week, mainly editing the Wwoof newsletter which should have been done a while ago. Ah well.

A very strange day - bright drizzle, thick fog on the mountain and I hoped it would burn off but no. No walking today.
