Saturday 19 March 2011: A Fine Day For A Walk

Or maybe not....

Seven of us set off from Mamore Lodge into the Mamores, do Na Gruagaichean and think of what to do next. When we crested the ridge all hell broke loose and we were absolutely battered by wind, snow and spindrift. We made our way to the false summit; after that a communication clusterfuck took place which ended up with myself and Sharon descending after reaching the true summit to accompany one other of the group Simon. I think lesson learnt is that sometimes seven is too unwieldy a group in really shit conditions., but we all know what we are doing. The other four went on to try another Munro but really bad cornices kept them off the summit.

Annoying thing is is t cleared a bit later on. Hey ho... at least we went for a walk by the river, had a couple of pints and watched England getting hosed by Ireland.
