Masked Lapwing

Day 25 Masked Lapwing (Vanellus miles), also known as the spur winged plover.

These birds are common and look ugly prancing menacingly around on manicured front lawns.
This one looks more natural standing at the margin of Lake Dulverton at Oatlands, Tasmania.

This should be the last of my back-blips until I jet up to Brisbane on the 30th.
