Tuesday 22 March 2011: Freespiralling...
A bright and frosty morning turned into a fantastic day - T shirt weather even!! The walking bus was jet- propelled by the spring sunshine and we hit a cracking pace - passing our usual sights - Sam the golden retriever, the robin on the telegraph pole singing away, the daffodils by the artist's house, the yappy jack russell and the calico cat, and the loud and hectic rookery by the church. That was the good bit! The rest of the morning went a bit pear-shaped - I blame the monster moon for everyone was a bit hyper and giddy, or stubborn and tearful. The walk back to my car was just what I needed to clear the head.
I stopped to take an early morning blip and sneakily parked in someone's drive when I was attracted to some old and rather magnificent railings, adorned with nice spiralling shapes and acanthus leaves. Rusty but very handsome, glad that they had been retrieved and rescued from somewhere.
