Wednesday 23 March 2011: the Helmsman
"Dogwithbrains" requested a picture of the steering wheel. And, as I am a very obedient man, her wish is my command.
Except when approaching a berth or when the ship speed is too low, we normally steer by the 'automatic pilot'. During pilotage the helmsman is on the bridge, in case of unforeseen circumstances.
On our way to Rouen France to load Rapeseed oil.
