Wednesday 23 March 2011: King's Bridge

This is a very functional bridge but probably the least attractive and therefore least photographed of the bridges over the River Clyde.

In fact when composing the picture I kept moving the bridge further and further to one side. It almost got left out!

Its a simple four-span rectangular bridge around 21.3m ( 70 feet) in width. Rivetted steel-plate girders carry a reinforced concrete roadway.
