Five Year Plan

Its five years today since Scotland banished smokers to the elements.

Since then, according to the Scottish Government, this has resulted in a 17% reduction in the first year after the ban. A 39% reduction in second-hand smoke exposure in under 11-year-olds and non smoking adults.

The smokers claim that it is a breach of their right and they are now treated as lepers.

Either way you look at it, without the ban there'd be much fewer people hanging around outside offices and pubs just waiting to be blipped.
