With its face like a Catalan girl, or with Hindu characteristics: It doesn't matter!
She is the Virgin in her throne and with the boy in her arms, exhibited in this display window of a craftsman in the Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona.
The Catalan people is very devotee to this beautiful image that protects them from the sanctuary of Montserrat.
The original image is from the Romanic (XIIth century) and is a wood carved piece call La Moreneta in Catalan. It is one of the black Madonnas of Europe. La Moreneta means "The little dark-skinned one".
