"Never ascribe to malice that which can adequately be explained by incompetence"
- Napoleon Bonaparte
(A similar quote "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity, but don't rule out malice" is attributed to Robert Heinlein and termed "Heinlein's Razor")
At work we have Internet Explorer 6. Hey, it's only a decade old. :-p It was suggested to me that I should forward that site to our IT department. Rather however, it occurred to me that it presented an opportunity for a "fools" challenge blip. When I noticed that the window behind the help | about box was a paper about assessing competence it sealed the deal for me. ;-)
